New State Record May Have Been Set With 47-Pound Catfish Caught In Lake Tawakoni

A huge Channel Cat was caught in Lake Tawakoni Saturday evening. The 47 pound monster was caught by angler Josh Garcia, while fishing with Michael, and Teri Littlejohn’s Guide Service. This will replace the previous record of 36.5 pounds set back in 1965, which was caught in the Perdanales River

The Record is still pending awaiting confirmation from State biologists, to confirm that this is for sure a Channel Catfish. After fish was weighed, It was released by into Tawakoni Lake. Congrats to Josh & Happy Fishing.
