Live Grenade Found In Honey Grove #Breaking

On Monday evening about 9:00 P.M the Honey Grove Police Department was taking a burglary report at an apartment on Bois D’ Arc street. While there the resident informed the officer that a live grenade was in the apartment. The grenade was said to have belonged to another resident who passed away over the weekend.

After it was confirmed to be an actual live grenade, surrounding apartments and residents were evacuated for everyone’s safety. The Plano Police Department Bomb Squad was contacted and two members of the bomb squad responded and removed the grenade. The all clear was given about 11:45 P.M. and residents were allowed back to their residences.

Although this was an inconvenience, the safety of our citizens is our priority. I thank each of you for your understanding during the entire situation.
