From Fannin County Sheriffs Office
We have received numerous calls today from citizens stating they received a call from Lieutenant Deater advising them that a warrant will be issued for their arrest unless they provide a $500 gift card.
We understand that to most, this type of call would raise a red flag but there are some who might believe it and comply.
No one from this office is making any calls of this nature so please don’t be a victim of this scam.
