The Wolfe City Police Department and the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office
have been made aware of a phone issue in and around Wolfe City Texas.
It has been reported that several people have not been able to call out
using land lines and cell phones, this includes making calls to 911. At the
moment it appears that this is an AT&T issue for cell phones and land lines
and Wolfe City Police Chief Mat Martin is communicating with them to try
and get this matter resolved.
Chief Martin has requested if you have a police, fire or medical emergency
and you cannot call 911 to come to city hall located at 101 Main Street
Wolfe City Texas.
The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office 911 center has been checked and it is
operational and not experiencing any outages.
Sheriff Meeks stated: “At the moment this incident appears isolated to
Wolfe City and AT&T and we are monitoring our systems to make sure it
does not expand beyond that area. If it does we will update the public as
soon as possible”.
