A 18 wheeler vs car in the Fairlie area leaves one injured.
HCEMS, Wolfe City Fire & Commerce Rescue units were dispatched to the area of Hwy 11 @ CR 4700, in between Commerce & Wolfe City today for a motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival units advised this was going to be a bobtail 18 wheeler vs a passenger vehicle. The car was in the ditch, the rear of the 18 wheeler was in the ditch, with the front end sticking out into the Southbound lane. Commerce officers quickly assisted in shutting down Hwy 11 in both directions.
Hunt County EMS units did put a Helicopter on standby but later disregarded. HCEMS did transport 1 patient via ambulance with non life threatening injuries.
DPS officers did their investigation releasing the vehicle to the on call wrecker and road was reopened.
