Hunt County Sheriffs Office responded to a call in the Southfork addition earlier today, of a caller reporting a Alzheimer’s patient missing. Officers made scene to find a 76 year old male subject, along with a lawnmower missing from the home. Hunt County officials acted quickly, requesting DPS Helicopter 101 & the tracking dogs to help with the search.
While searching the area awaiting arrival of DPS 101 & the search dogs, a Hunt County officer noticed tire tracks from the lawnmower. Upon following the tracks, the officer located the missing man & the lawnmower at the neighbors home. The man officers were looking for, stated he drove his lawnmower over to the neighbors to drink a few beers and was just fine.
All incoming units were disregarded & the man was marked safe.
