
Monday around 10 A.M Greenville P.D, DPS, Hunt County EMS & Greenville Fire responded to a major motor vehicle accident in the area of I-30 Westbound near mile marker 95. Upon arrival units checked 18 wheeler vs vehicle, MAJOR DAMAGE. Word from DPS as of now is, A 18 wheeler was parked on the side of the interstate. The Black SUV swerved hitting the truck, killing the passenger of the SUV. The driver was airlifted and is expected to survive the accident. A third vehicle was involved hitting debris in the roadway, unknown injuries from driver of that vehicle
AirEvac 67 out of Greenville was dispatched to the scene to transport 1 patient via helicopter to Dallas along with 1 Signal 27 (Death) called with this accident.

TxDot was called to the scene to assist with traffic, as the highway was shutdown completely for an extended period of time. The highway as of 11:52am is down to one lane slowly moving while Troopers continue their investigation.
