Quick Investigation Work Leads To Recovery Of Stolen Tractor Only Hours After it was taken From Hunt County

Quick investigation work by Hunt County investigators leads to the recovery of a stolen farm tractor that was stolen hours earlier.

On April 21 st , 2019 Hunt County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a stolen tractor in the 4700 block of County Road 4802. The owner described the tractor as a “Tafe DE5000” orange and black and stated that he had left the tractor on his farm land the previous night. However, when he returned
this date the tractor was gone and he observed tractor tracks leading off of his property. The patrol Deputy initially took the theft report and gathered all pertinent information to enter the tractor stolen. At approximately 4:00 p.m. the same date an Investigator with the Sheriff’s Office observed a suspect using the stolen tractor not far from the location it was stolen. The subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Chad Allen Pryor, 31 year old male from Wolfe City Texas. Mr. Pryor also had an outstanding felony
warrant for burglary of a building. Mr. Pryor was taken into custody and charged with the following: Unauthorized Use of Vehicle, Theft of Property over $2500, and Burglary of a Building warrant. Total Bonds have been set for $60,000.00
