Disturbance With Shots Fired In Hunt County

On April 29, 2019 the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office responded to a “Disturbance in Progress with weapons” in the 900 block of Private Road 3784.

Upon arrival deputies learned that a subject had come to the house in an attempt to confront a person he believed had stolen several items from his residence which included several firearms. During this time the suspect exited the residence and a verbal altercation ensued which led to gunshots being exchanged between the two persons. This not only endangered the lives of the persons doing the shooting but also several by-standers in close proximity one of which was a juvenile female. The suspects left the residence driving a black Honda Accord.

Investigators with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office questioned those on scene and processed the crime scene. As of this press release a subject is in custody on an unrelated warrant and is being questioned in this offense.
