On August 9th, 2019 the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office alerted the public to an active felony warrant on Charles Trent Parrish for the offense of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after he eluded capture the previous night.
On August 10th, 2019 Hunt County Crime Stoppers received an anonymous tip that Mr. Parrish was hiding in a residence in the 2500 block of Monroe Street in Commerce Texas. The Commerce Police Department was notified of this tip and responded to the location where Mr. Parrish was taken into custody without incident.
Sheriff Meeks stated: “I want to thank for the public for the tips that came in to Hunt County Crime Stoppers in the search for this violent offender. I also want to commend Lt. Clark with the Commerce Police Department for taking swift action to make sure that Mr. Parrish was taken into custody without further incident”.
