
Authorities say at least six people have been injured during a shooting at a Southern California high school.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says Thursday on Twitter that deputies are responding to Saugus High School in the city of Santa Clarita.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department told media there were at least six but possibly seven victims. It was unclear if all of them had been shot.
Paramedics responded to the call of a person with a gunshot wound just before 7:40 a.m.
Nearby elementary schools were placed on lockdown while authorities searched for a gunman.
Students are being evacuated from the school,
