On February 16, 2020 at approximately 3:30 a.m. the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a fight in progress at the Texas Beach Club located at 3771 East Interstate 30, Campbell, TX.
Upon arrival responding Deputies were informed that two male subjects had gotten into a fight and that during the fight one person was stabbed multiple times. The stabbing victim had left the scene prior to their arrival but was located a short time later at a local hospital.
Investigators with the Criminal Investigation Division worked diligently in the following days interviewing all parties involved as well as witnesses. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Jamie Morales, 24 year old male from Greenville, Texas for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Mr. Morales was arrested without incident at his residence on February 25th, 2020 and transported to the Hunt County Detention Center. Mr. Morales was arraigned on one count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon with a bond of $50,000.00 cash or surety. Mr. Morales is also being held on a charge of Criminal Non Support out of Dallas County with No Bond.
The victim has since been release from the hospital and is recovering.
