Suspect Arrested In The Murder Of Joes Hernandez

Through their investigation, Homicide Detectives determined that suspect Armando Limon Gutierrez, a 19-year old Latin male, was responsible for killing the victim.  On Monday, November 16, 2020, suspect Gutierrez was arrested for murder, and officers transported him to the Dallas County Jail.  A Dallas County magistrate will set his bond amount.

On November 16, 2020, at approximately 1:26 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at 1222 Mclean Avenue.  Upon arrival, officers found the victim Jose Hernandez, a 19-year old Latin male, with a gunshot wound outside his residence.  Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the victim to an area hospital where he remained in critical condition. 

The Homicide Unit was contacted by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office later that morning and stated that the victim had died from his injuries.  This is an ongoing investigation and the Dallas Police Department – Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s assistance and encouraging anyone with information to call Detective T.
