2 Adult Males Arrested In Connection To The Demarcus Thurman Homicide, Dallas Police Say

Through the course of the investigation, Homicide Detectives determined that suspects Anthony Cain Sheckells, a 27-year old white male, and Roman Arielyus Davis, a 19-year old white male were responsible for killing the victim.  On Wednesday, December 16, 2020, suspect Sheckells and suspect Davis were arrested for murder by the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Taskforce. Officers transported him to the Dallas County Jail.  A Dallas County magistrate will set their bond amount.

On Saturday, December 12, 2020, at approximately 4:07 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at 8245 Scyene Road.  Upon their arrival, they discovered the victim who has been identified as Demarcus Pierre Thurman, a 29-year old Black male, shot at the location. Dallas Fire and Rescue responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
