Commerce Police Department chases an 18 wheeler into Hopkins County Wednesday Night.
Late Wednesday night Commerce Police Department attempted to pull over an 18 wheeler hauling a tanker trailer. The truck refused to pull over.
The truck led officers down Highway 11 West into Hopkins County, striking a bridge Just at the Hopkins/Hunt County line. The truck turned down Highway 275 South headed into Cumby.
Hopkins County joined in on the chase attempting to spike the truck. The 18 wheeler made it into Cumby driving recklessly down Highway 275 nearly running several vehicles off the roadway.
The chase eventually came to a stop in the 200 block of Paris Street in Cumby, which is a dead end road.
Officers were able to successfully take the suspect into custody without further incident.
Hopkins County EMS responded to the location to check out the driver.
