Kaufman County investigating a murder after finding a 52-year-old woman deceased from a gunshot wound
At around 4:40pm on Tuesday afternoon, sheriffs deputies were called to a house in the 12000 block of FM 1836, approximately eight miles east of Kaufman. When deputies arrived, they located a 52-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by CareFlite paramedics.
Detectives arrested an 80-year-old woman at the home, who has since been identified as the mother of the victim. At this time, police have not released a motive for the killing.
She has been charged in the shooting death of her daughter. Her bond sits at $1,000,000 while she sits in the Kaufman County jail.
