💔 Tragic Update: The FBI has confirmed that remains found in Wyoming earlier today match Gabby Petito’s description and that her family has been notified. The FBI extends their condolences to her family as they mourn the loss of their daughter. The body has been transported to the coroner’s office. They will release their official confirmation and cause of death once they have completed their autopsy and report.
North Port PD posted a statement, “Saddened and heartbroken to learn that Gabby has been found deceased. Our focus from the start, along with the FBI, and national partners, has been to bring her home. We will continue to work with the FBI in the search for more answers.”

SARASOTA, Fla. – The Teton County Coroner has confirmed that a body has been found in the Bridger-Teton National Forest. This national forest is a very remote area of Wyoming – south of Yellowstone National Park.
This is the same general area where a search has been underway for Gabby Petitio, but there is no confirmation of an identity of the body.
FBI Denver announced on twitter that they will provide an update into the investigation of Gabby’s disappearance at 4:00 p.m. MDT.
