I-30 near FM 1570 is backed up both East and Westbound directions due to a pursuit that ended in a major accident overnight.
Fate PD got in a pursuit with Hunt County joining. The pursuit was I-30 Eastbound with speeds reaching 130 MPH.
The vehicle eventually wrecked out hitting the center median wall and catching fire. There were 2 occupants inside the vehicle.
A medical helicopter was launched to the scene where one patient was extricated from the vehicle and transported, the other died at the scene from their injuries.
Beware the highway is slow rolling at this time. Texas Department of Public Safety is on scene investigating. We will update as we learn more.
