
Hunt County EMS & Greenville Fire responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 30, near Moulton Street Saturday evening just before 9:00P.M
Greenville Police Department was the first to arrive on scene, finding a vehicle that hit the guardrail, confirming there were serious injuries involved with this accident, immediately starting CPR on a juvenile patient, per Hunt County scanner traffic.
Greenville Fire arrived on scene shutting down the number 1 lane of Interstate 30 as traffic was starting to build up. As Hunt County EMS prepared the juvenile patient for transport, there was another wreck caused by the backup from the first accident, just West of the scene.
Greenville Fire & Hunt County EMS units responded to the second accident finding that a dully pick-up truck slammed into the rear of an 18 wheeler, there were non life threatening injuries involved with this additional wreck.
With sadness we report, the young juvenile involved in the first major accident was transported to the hospital, where they later passed away from their injuries. The patient(s) from the second accident was transported with non life threatening injuries.
