2 Vehicle Accident On Highway 24 Thursday Morning – Minor Injuries

Hunt County EMS, Commerce Rescue, Campbell Fire & DPS responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 24 in front of the Campbell Store Thursday Morning. DPS released this statement in reference to the accident.

The accident occurred around 9:15 a.m. Preliminary investigation indicates that a Black Ford-150 was traveling northbound across Highway 24 in an attempt to get to the Campbell store. The driver of the truck failed to yield right of way to a Red Subaru, which was unable to avoid the collision, striking the truck and then striking another truck in the parking lot.

The passenger of the Black F-150 and the driver of the Subaru were both transported with non-life-threatening injuries to a local hospital in Commerce.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
