Suspect Stole Dog – Scamming Owner To Send Money

Round Rock police are searching for a missing dachshund named Strudel who they say was stolen and then used in a scam against the owner.

Round Rock Police Department seek information related to a stolen dog named Strudel. The 6-month-old, golden mini-dachshund got loose on Dec. 30 from her owner while at the PetSmart near IH-35 and SH-45. Strudel was picked up by an unknown suspect, who contacted the owner with a fake phone number, convinced the owner to Venmo money, and then never returned the dog.
