Just before 10:00 P.M Sunday night, EMS & the Leonard Fire Department were dispatched to the 300 block of Main Street for reports of a subject with a gunshot wound.
Monday afternoon, information was requested from the Leonard Police Department on the reported overnight shooting that occurred Sunday night just before 10:00 P.M. in their city.
At this time 0 to little information has been released. Scanner traffic suggest that officers responded to a possible disturbance at a residence in the 300 block of Main Street in the Leonard area. Officers requested EMS after a subject came out of the home armed, causing an officer to fire their weapon striking the armed subject. Unknown on the extent of injuries.
The Texas Department Of Public Safety released information stating that The Texas Rangers have been requested by Leonard Police Department to assist with a officer involved shooting, the investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time
