Two Children Killed In An Early Morning Hopkins County House Fire

The city of Sulphur Springs released a statement Thursday morning in reference to 2 children who were killed in an early morning house fire.

On Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 3:52 am, the Sulphur Springs Fire Department responded to a residence on South Moore Street in reference to a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, the residence was found to be fully engulfed. It was later learned that two small children were unable to escape the fire and are deceased.

The investigation into this fire is ongoing and no other information is available.
