Daniel Nicholas Villazana of West Tawakoni was booked into the Hunt County Detention Center Saturday on Murder Charges.
Villazana was involved in the Pittsburg, Texas shooting death of Cade Caviness, 19, of Longview. According to a press release, the Pittsburg police responded to the 600 block of Jefferson Street on January 31, 2022 to check out a 911 call about a shooting that had occurred. When PPD officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. The Victim, Cade Caviness was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pittsburg PD officers then received a call about a second gunshot victim located in the 100 block of Daingerfield. According to the press release, the second victim was identified as Patrick Hawk, 18, of New Diana. Hawk was treated and released at the scene. Pittsburg Police Chief Matthew Lemarr said Caviness and Hawk were shot at the same location in Pittsburg, and they are both considered victims.
Villazana is the second suspect to be arrested in this case. On February 2, 2022 authorities arrested Jonathan Phillips, 19, of West Tawakoni. Phillips is also being charged for the death of Caviness.

Daniel Villazana was transferred over to the Camp County Jail & booked in on charges of:

- AGG ASSAULT W/DEADLY WEAPON
- DEADLY CONDUCT DISCHARGE FIREARM
