Hunt County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Accidental Shooting

On March 31, 2022 the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 3800 block of FM 118 in Greenville for a reported accidental shooting of an 8 year old.

Officers arrived on scene and determined that there was in fact a child who had suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, the child was transported to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas by helicopter. The gunshot wound to the victim does not appear to be life threatening.

This incident is an ongoing investigation by the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office and no further details are available at this time.
