Shortly after 8:00 p.m. on May 10th, a Rockwall County deputy conducted a traffic stop on a passenger car on Interstate 30 in Rockwall. The deputy discovered that the vehicle’s license plate did not belong to the vehicle, and some of the other identifying features had been altered.
The investigation revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen.
The driver identified by booking reports as Jose Alberto Flores was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and booked into the brand new Rockwall County Detention Center.
The stolen vehicle will be turned back over to the owners. Good work to all officers involved.
