The Texas Department Of Public Safety released a statement in reference to a fatality accident which occurred on US 80, 5 miles east of Mineola, Friday morning.
Preliminary investigation indicates that 23 year old Terrance Boyd of Terrell, Texas was traveling eastbound on US 80.
Howard W. Petrea, 89, of Mineola, Texas was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of US 80 and FM 1253. Boyd who was traveling in a 2016 Ford Mustang failed to yield the right of way, striking Petrea in the right side.
Howard Patrea unfortunately was pronounced deceased on scene. There were two more occupants in Patrea’s vehicle who suffered non-life threatening injuries. Continued prayers for all involved.
