The Texas Department Of Public Safety released this statement in reference to a fatality accident that occurred on State Highway 243, claiming the life of one.
Preliminary investigation indicates that 37 year old Jose E. Rincon Juarez of Kaufman, Texas was traveling west on State Highway 243.
42 year old Jennifer L. Johnson, of Canton, Texas was facing north attempting to turn east onto State Highway 243 from County Road 2501. Johnson made a wide right turn entering the westbound lane of travel, overcorrected back into the eastbound lane at the same time Rincon Juarez was attempting to avoid Johnson.
Jose E. Rincon Juarez, who was driving a 2022 Dodge Ram 2500 collided into Johnson with the front right side.
Both vehicles came to a stop just south of State Highway 243. Unfortunately Jennifer L. Johnson was pronounced deceased on scene. Both drivers had passengers in the vehicles who suffered non-threatening injuries.
