Meet the heroic police officer who saved the life of a 1-month-old newborn. Officers negotiated with an unidentified man who was “dangling” a baby over a balcony in Jersey City. Despite their efforts to stop him, the man threw the baby, whom Officer Eduardo Matute miraculously caught.
Thankfully, the baby wasn’t harmed in the incident and the man has been arrested. The mayor of Jersey City thanked the officers at the scene, saying, “Thank you JCPD…. We are lucky to have the men and woman of the JCPD, as every single day I see it firsthand, they rise to meet any/all challenges.”
Officer Matute’s act of heroism saved this precious baby’s life! We are thankful for him and all of those who continually work to protect innocent children.
