Cumby Man In Custody After Punching Brother In Face

On Friday, just after 7:00PM, The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence of Old Paradise Rd for a reported disturbance.

Deputies arrived on scene finding a male subject who had minor injuries to the side of his face. The victim advised him and his brother were in a verbal altercation when it became physical. The victim advised the suspect who had already left the scene, struck him in the face several times.

The suspect identified as Jesse Nolan Jones of Cumby, left in a vehicle prior to the Deputies arrival, headed towards the Commerce area. Commerce police officers were able to get the suspect stopped at Lonestar Bar & Grill in Commerce.

Deputies with Hopkins County responded to Commerce to speak with Jones, to get his side of the story. Upon arrival it was found Jones had a child in the vehicle with him. After getting the individuals side of the story, Jones was read his rights and taken into custody.

After obtaining reports, the mother of the child responded to the scene to take custody of the child who was in the vehicle with Jones at the time of his arrest. Deputies photographed victims (Brothers) injuries, with the suspect being transported to the Hopkins County Detention Center.

Jesse Nolan Jones was booked into the Hopkins County Detention Center on charges of :

-ASSAULT CAUSES BODILY INJURY FAMILY MEMBER

As of 12:45PM Saturday, Jones remains booked into the Hopkins County Detention Center awaiting arraignment.
