
Early Wednesday morning, the Greenville Police Department responded to the area of Moulton Street and I-30 Service Road, near the Exxon gas station, in reference to a male subject who was shot in the abdomen area.
Officers arrived on scene, per scanner traffic running the name of a female individual, along with checking a 9mm handgun to make sure the gun was not stolen. As of Thursday morning, the Greenville Police Department has not released a statement in reference to this incident.
Hunt County EMS & Greenville Fire did respond to the scene, transporting a male subject to the local hospital in an unknown condition.
We can confirm Ashley Renea King was booked into the Hunt County Detention Center on Wednesday, by the Greenville Police Department, and charged with the following:
- AGG ASSAULT W/DEADLY WEAPON
As of 4:30AM, Thursday morning, King remained booked into the Hunt County Detention Center awaiting arraignment.

On April 5, 2023, at approximately 4:09 a.m., Greenville Police Department officers responded to the Economy Inn located at 5103 Interstate 30, after a female called 911 and stated that she had shot a male. Officers found the male who had gunshot wounds. The male was transported to Hunt Regional Medical Center. The female caller was taken into custody for aggravated assault. No further information will be released due to the ongoing investigation.
