Hopkins County Make Arrest Of Subject After Driving By And Honking At Officers After Suspect Committed Assault

On 06/17/2023 just after 7:00PM, Hopkins County Deputy T. Patterson responded to the 6500 block of State Highway 11 W in reference to an assault.

Upon arrival the Deputy spoke to a witness (suspects mother) who stated David Glynne Noble entered the residence and physically assaulted her husband. During the course of the assault a different witness (suspects sister) contacted 911. Prior to Deputy Patterson’s arrival the above male had left the residence.

During the course of the investigation, the victim (suspects father) was uncooperative, even with identifying himself. While speaking to the witnesses, the deputy observed the suspect vehicle to pass by the location west bound on Hwy 11 West. The vehicle had its hazard lights on and honked as it went by. Deputy Patterson provided the family with a yellow family violence card and left to attempt to locate the suspect.

After searching for the suspect vehicle, deputies located it in the 1000 block of C.R. 4711. After making contact and informing the suspect identified as David Glynne Noble, of Pickton, that he was under arrest and to comply with law enforcement directives to put his hands behind his back. The above male refused to do so. The above male was placed onto the ground to effect the arrest.

While being transported to the Hopkins County Detention Center for book in, Noble made the comment about returning to the residence and causing harm to the entire family. He refused to comply with HCSO Detention center procedures for book in and was secured in a cell where he could not cause harm to himself and or HCSO staff.

An emergency protective order will be applied for and presented to the magistrate at arraignment. A 24 hour victim notification has also been applied for as well.

David Glynne Noble was booked into the Hopkins County Detention Center on Charges of:

  1. ASSAULT CAUSES BODILY INJURY FAMILY MEMBER

All subjects are innocent until proven guilty by the court of law.
