Fannin County Accident Claims The Life Of An 8-Year-Old Trenton Girl

Last Thursday night at approximately 10:00 P.M., EMS, Trenton Fire & PD, and the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene of a major car crash near FM-151, just two miles northwest of Trenton, TX. Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered a heavily damaged vehicle with five individuals inside. Among them were three children.

The scene was investigated by the Department of Public Safety. Subsequently, they issued a statement regarding this accident.

Based on their investigation, DPS has revealed that Kyle Wilson from Trenton, aged 36, was driving in a northerly direction on FM 151. According to their report, Wilson failed to navigate a curve at an excessive speed which resulted in the 2017 Cadillac XTS he was driving veering off the road. The vehicle collided with both a metal pipe fence and a tree.

Wilson and a 10 year old male occupant of the vehicle were transported to Dallas area hospitals in critical condition.

An adult passenger along with a 6 year old female were transported to Dallas area hospitals in stable condition.

Tragically, an 8-year-old girl was taken to Cooks Children’s Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
