Shortly after 7 pm, deputies from the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office conducted a check on a vehicle that was parked in a designated lane on Highway 11. Upon approaching the driver, who was later identified as David Noble, he stated that his vehicle was not functioning properly, despite the fact that it was clearly running. Noble appeared visibly nervous during his interaction with the deputies. When asked for permission to search the vehicle, Noble refused and declined to exit the vehicle to wait for a K9 officer to arrive.
To further obstruct the deputies, Noble proceeded to lock the vehicle doors, roll up the windows, and increase the volume of the radio to a level that would prevent him from hearing any communication with law enforcement. After some time, Noble rolled down the window and was informed of the consequences of failing to comply with their instructions. Ignoring the warning, Noble shifted his previously claimed non-operational vehicle into drive and attempted to flee from the original location where he was stopped.
In response to Noble’s evasive actions, the deputies were forced to break the driver side window of his vehicle. Despite this, Noble continued to evade them and drove into the parking lot of Como-Pickton CISD, where he was eventually apprehended and taken into custody by law enforcement.
David Glynne Noble, 33, of Pickton, Texas was booked into the Hopkins County Detention Center on charges of:
