Denton County Man Sentenced to Maximum Prison Terms for Crimes Against Children

DENTON, Texas — A Denton County jury has sentenced Jose Turcios-Caballero to maximum prison terms for multiple offenses involving children. The sentences include:

  • 99 years for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child
  • 20 years for Indecency with a Child
  • 10 years for Injury to a Child

Judge Brent Hill ordered that the 99-year and 20-year sentences be served consecutively, as per the Denton County Criminal District Attorney’s Office. This ensures Turcios-Caballero will remain in prison for a significant length of time.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Lauren Marshall and Alexa Galindo, with support from DA Investigator Andi Fletcher and Victim Liaison Veronica Brunner. Detective Michael Owen of the Lewisville Police Department led the investigation, gathering critical evidence that secured the convictions.
