According to the affidavit, deputies initiated the traffic stop after observing a vehicle Stoker was passenger in fail to stop at a designated sign. Deputies also recovered a glass pipe, typically used for smoking methamphetamine.
A three-year-old child was found sitting in the rear seat of the vehicle during the incident. After the arrest, the child was safely turned over to her mother, who arrived at the scene. The vehicle was later released to its rightful owner.
Stoker was booked into Hopkins County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 (between four and 200 grams) and abandonment or endangerment of a child under conditions that posed imminent danger.
