Ngan T. Do Arrested for Theft at Walmart in Hopkins County

Hopkins County, Texas — A 40-year-old woman, identified as Ngan T. Do, was arrested on January 19, 2025, for theft at the Walmart located at 1750 S. Broadway St. Officers were dispatched to the scene after a report of theft.

According to the police affidavit, officers met with Walmart Asset Protection staff who observed the suspect intentionally skipping item scans at the register. The suspect, Ngan T. Do, was caught on surveillance cameras placing unscanned items into bags and walking past the last point of sale.

Officers read Do her Miranda Rights, which she acknowledged and agreed to speak with them. During the investigation, Do admitted to intentionally skipping the scanning of items. The total value of the stolen items was $117.23. Officers retrieved a receipt for the stolen merchandise and took Do into custody.

She was transported to the Hopkins County Jail and charged with theft of property valued between $100 and $750.

Authorities remind the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement.
