Criminal Trespass and Drug Possession
At the 2900 block of S. Church, officers responded to a report of criminal trespass. Upon arrival, they encountered Markeica Keysha Hooker (33), who was found in possession of a large shoulder bag containing various types of narcotics. Hooker gave the officer permission to search the bag, leading to the discovery of controlled substances.
Charges: Hooker was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 2) and cited for Criminal Trespass.
Outstanding Warrants: Further investigation revealed several misdemeanor warrants. Hooker was arrested and transported to the Police Department for booking.
January 18, 2025
Shoplifting Incident
A shoplifting report at the 1300 block of Clarksville alerted officers to an incident involving Ami Jon Naramore (48). Store personnel observed Naramore concealing items and questioned her as she exited the restroom. Upon investigation, officers discovered stolen items worth $80.21 in her purse and jacket.
Charges: Naramore was charged with Theft Under $2,500 with two or more prior convictions, classifying it as a state jail felony.
Criminal History: Records revealed that she had been convicted of theft on at least two prior occasions. Naramore was processed without incident.
January 19, 2025
Theft and Repeat Offender Arrest
For the second time in as many weeks, Quamaine Jamal White-Richardson (31) was arrested for theft. Officers received a call from a business on Lamar Avenue regarding stolen food items. White-Richardson was located a few blocks away, and a store employee identified him as the suspect.
Details: White-Richardson reportedly entered the business, took several food items totaling $10, and attempted to leave. When confronted, he became hostile toward store personnel.
Charges: He was charged with Theft Under $2,500 with two or more prior convictions, elevating the charge to a felony.
Criminal History: Richardson had been convicted of theft on four prior occasions.
January 19, 2025
Traffic Stop and Outstanding Warrant
During a traffic stop in the 200 block of NW 4th, officers encountered Daniel Granederos Perez (31) for defective equipment. Upon questioning, Perez provided a fictitious name. Further checks revealed that Perez had an active warrant for Bond Surrender related to a DWI charge.
Charges: Perez was charged with Failure to Identify as a Fugitive from Justice and held on the outstanding DWI warrant.
Outcome: Perez was taken into custody without incident and transported to the county jail.
January 20, 2025
Disturbance and Drug Arrest
Officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 2700 block of E. Cherry, where they contacted Thomas McCoin (47). During a consensual pat-down search, officers discovered marijuana and methamphetamine in McCoin’s pocket.
Charges: McCoin was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 1) and Possession of Marijuana.
Outcome: He was arrested and processed at the city jail.
