City of Greenville Welcomes Steve Glass as New City Engineer

Greenville, TX — January 21, 2025: The City of Greenville is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Glass as its new City Engineer. With more than two decades of distinguished experience in municipal infrastructure, capital project management, and engineering leadership, Steve is set to bring a wealth of expertise to the role.

Steve’s career began in 1996 as a Utilities Engineer for the City of Tyler. Over the years, he has successfully led a variety of complex street and infrastructure projects, expertly guiding them from design to construction while ensuring adherence to local codes, standards, and ordinances. As Project Manager for the City of Dallas, Steve oversaw numerous high-profile infrastructure initiatives. Additionally, in his role as Assistant Director of Public Works for the City of Mesquite, he managed diverse teams and projects, including wastewater pipeline systems and infrastructure maintenance programs.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington. His proven leadership and comprehensive experience in public works make him an ideal choice to steer Greenville’s infrastructure and development projects into the future.

The City of Greenville leadership team expressed their confidence in Steve’s ability to guide the Public Works Department with vision, integrity, and innovation. Steve officially joined the city on December 16, 2024, and is already making a positive impact within the department.
