Incident: Officers stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of Tudor St for an expired registration. Officers made contact with an individual who identified himself as James Sanderson. Upon search, a large amount of methamphetamine was recovered. It was later determined the subject was actually Casey Dajuan Sanders (46).

Charges: Possession of Controlled Substance, Fail to Identify as a Fugitive from Justice, Parole Violation, and misdemeanor charges. The vehicle driver was charged with a misdemeanor drug paraphernalia offense.

Additional Police Activity: Officers made 18 traffic stops, 4 adult arrests, and answered 60 calls for service for this reporting period.

January 24, 2025

Incident 1: Officers stopped a vehicle in the 2900 block of Lamar for a moving violation. The driver, Chad Dewayne Anderson (49), was arrested for narcotics found near his feet in the vehicle. The female passenger was released.

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Felony).

Incident 2: Officers responded to a call in the 1700 block of Margaret St. The victim reported that an ex-caretaker had stolen jewelry, a smartwatch, and a butterfly collection. The case is under investigation.
