Sulphur Springs PD Arrest Two During Routine Traffic Stop

Hopkins County, TX — A man identified as Christopher Grady Greaves, 55, was arrested on January 25, 2025, following a routine traffic stop on Interstate 30 in Hopkins County. Officers discovered methamphetamine and paraphernalia during the search.

According to law enforcement, Greaves was stopped for a traffic violation near 126MM Interstate 30 East. During the stop, a search of the vehicle was conducted after officers observed suspicious behavior. Inside the vehicle, officers located a glass pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine and a blue plastic baggie containing a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.

The methamphetamine was weighed, including packaging, and totaled approximately 2.0 grams. Neither Greaves nor his identified as 37 year old Tatiana Marie Ugalde claimed ownership of the substances. Both individuals were read their Miranda rights and taken into custody. Greaves was booked into the Hopkins County Jail on charges of POSS CS PG 1/1-B >=1G<4G Ugalde was booked in on charges of POSS CS PG 1/1-B >=1G<4G.

Both remained booked into the Hopkins County Detention Center as of Sunday evening.
