Sulphur Springs Woman Arrested for Drug Possession and Warrants

HOPKINS COUNTY, TX — January 27, 2025: Selena Flor Gonsalez, a 20-year-old woman from Sulphur Springs, was arrested on Friday afternoon during a traffic stop. Police discovered Gonsalez had multiple outstanding warrants and drug possession charges.

The arrest took place at the intersection of Oak Avenue and Jefferson Street. During the stop, officers identified Gonsalez as having three outstanding warrants, including charges for failing to maintain financial responsibility and driving without a license. Additionally, a search of her vehicle revealed a THC vape pen in sealed packaging containing 67.80% THC and 0.11% CBD with a net weight of 3 grams.

Gonsalez was charged with possession of a controlled substance (greater than 1 gram but less than 4 grams) and drug paraphernalia. She was transported and booked into the Hopkins County

Law enforcement officials continue to emphasize their commitment to public safety and proactive efforts to address illegal drug activity in the community.
