Incident 1: Endangering the Elderly/Disabled

Date: February 1, 2025

Details: Amber Nicole Beck (42) of Paris was arrested in the 800 block of NE Loop 286 after intentionally turning off the power to a building housing a dialysis center. Eleven patients receiving critical treatment were affected, including at least one over 65 years old. Beck was charged with Endangering a Child/Elderly or Disabled Individual, a Felony.


Incident 2: Aggravated Assault and Firearm Possession

Date: February 1, 2025

Details: James Thompson (45) of Paris was arrested in the 200 block of SW 1st Street. He was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Separate media releases are available for additional details.


Incident 3: Assault and Parole Violation

Date: February 1, 2025

Details: Roderick Deshawn Jones (42) of Paris was arrested in the 1100 block of Clarksville St by Lamar County Probation officers. Jones was wanted for a Motion to Revoke Probation related to Assault of a Family Member by Choking. Additional charges included Endangering a Child. He was processed without incident.


Incident 4: Possession of Controlled Substances and Possession of a Dangerous Drug.

Date: February 2, 2025

Details: Rebecca Marie Daniels (50) of Paris was stopped in the 500 block of NW 4th for expired registration. Officers found prescription pills and narcotics in her possession. She was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Dangerous Drug.


Incident 5: Narcotics Arrest

Date: February 2, 2025

Details: Jason Don Prunty (42) of Paris was arrested in the 1200 block of NW 18th Street on an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance. The arrest stemmed from an August 2024 case involving narcotics. Prunty was transferred to Lamar County Jail.


Additional Police Activity: Officers made 66 traffic stops, 13 adult arrests, and answered 320 calls for service during this reporting period.
