Incident 1: Burglary of a Building
Date: February 7, 2025
Details: Officers responded to a burglary in progress at a vacant building in the 800 block of Clarksville St. They arrested Adam Troy Payne (42) of Reno for Burglary of a Building, Theft of Materials, and Unlawful Use of a Criminal Instrument.
Incident 2: Animal Cruelty and Disorderly Conduct
Date: February 8, 2025
Details: Officers arrested Patrick Alan Daigh (32) of Paris after responding to a cruelty to animals report. Witnesses provided video evidence of Daigh beating and strangling a dog. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Cruelty to Animals, a felony.
Incident 3: Narcotics Possession
Date: February 8, 2025
Details: Officers encountered Marcus Lorenzo Johnson (39) of Paris walking in the middle of NE 5th Street in dark clothing. Upon approach, Johnson dropped a bag containing narcotics. He was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Incident 4: Theft of Merchandise and Narcotics Arrest
Date: February 9, 2025
Details: Officers were notified of a theft in the 3800 block of Lamar Ave, where a suspect stole over $300 worth of merchandise. Officers later stopped a matching vehicle and arrested the driver, Justin Kenny Horne (30), and passenger, Rikki De’Lane D’Ordichi Johnson (26). Both were charged with Possession of Controlled Substances and theft-related offenses.
Incident 5: Stolen Vehicle Recovery
Date: February 9, 2025
Details: Officers recovered a stolen 2017 Nissan Altima in the 700 block of 3rd SW. The vehicle was located undamaged at Wade Park after being reported stolen. The case remains under investigation.
Incident 6: Burglary of a Business
Date: February 9, 2025
Details: Officers responded to a burglary at a business in the 200 block of 2nd SW. Suspects broke a window and stole computer components before fleeing. The case remains under investigation.
Additional Police Activity: Officers made 32 traffic stops, 8 adult arrests, and answered 235 calls for service during this reporting period.
