COMMERCE, TX – The Commerce Police Department is actively investigating a digital scam that targeted Good Donuts and several customers on or around February 3, 2025.
According to police reports, cyber attackers compromised the business’s router and internet connection, allowing them to create a series of fraudulent financial transactions. This breach resulted in unauthorized withdrawals from both the business owner’s account and some of the store’s customers.
Good Donuts Responds to Cyber Attack
Good Donuts is considered a victim in this cybercrime and has fully cooperated with the Commerce PD. The business has surrendered its compromised router to assist in the ongoing investigation. As a precautionary measure, Good Donuts is currently operating on a cash-only basis until they can secure new internet equipment and services.
Commerce PD Issues Public Warning
The Commerce Police Department is urging recent customers of Good Donuts to review their financial accounts and report any unauthorized or suspicious transactions to their respective financial institutions and local authorities.
This remains an active investigation, and authorities have stated that no further comments will be made at this time.
