Nancy Sue Lynn Arrested for Third DWI Offense in Sulphur Springs

SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas – Authorities in Sulphur Springs have arrested Nancy Sue Lynn, 56, on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) – Third Offense or More. The arrest occurred after officers responded to a crash scene and later conducted a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle.

According to the Sulphur Springs Police Department, officers were dispatched to a location where witnesses identified a vehicle that had been involved in an accident. Upon arrival, law enforcement made contact with Lynn and detected the strong odor of alcohol coming from her vehicle.

Officers requested Lynn to exit the vehicle, where she was observed to have slurred speech, glassy and bloodshot eyes, and difficulty maintaining balance. A series of standardized field sobriety tests (SFSTs) were conducted, confirming signs of impairment.

Following the assessment, Lynn was taken into custody and placed in double-locked handcuffs before being transported in a patrol unit. She was then taken to Christus Mother Frances Hospital, where she consented to providing a blood specimen for analysis.

Due to her prior convictions for DWI, Nancy Sue Lynn was booked into the Hopkins County Jail under charges of Driving While Intoxicated – Third Offense or More. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
