SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas – A local man was arrested in the early hours of March 22, 2025, after being discovered unconscious in his vehicle at a Taco Bell parking lot in Sulphur Springs.
According to the Sulphur Springs Police Department, officers responded to a suspicious activity call around 3:05 a.m. at the Taco Bell located at 1338 Broadway Street. Upon arrival, they located a man passed out behind the wheel of a parked Kia Optima.
The individual, later identified as 30-year-old Kiaaron Jerome Younger, was found to be exhibiting signs of intoxication including bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and a strong odor of alcohol. Officers also noted unsteady balance and impaired behavior during field sobriety testing.
Younger was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication due to his condition and the potential danger to himself and others. Further investigation revealed an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Dallas County.
He was booked into the Hopkins County Jail without incident following a warrant confirmation. No injuries or further incidents were reported at the scene.
