Sulphur Springs Woman Arrested for Aggravated Assault with Knife After Domestic Incident

SULPHUR SPRINGS, TX — On the evening of March 31, 2025, officers with the Sulphur Springs Police Department responded to a call regarding a domestic assault involving a knife at a residence on Hinnant Street.
Upon arrival, officers observed 33-year-old Cortney Shay Noble running from a camper in the backyard and fleeing toward Towne Street. Officers issued multiple verbal commands before Noble was eventually detained after a brief struggle. She reportedly resisted arrest and pushed back against officers during her placement into the patrol vehicle.
The female victim, identified as Noble’s mother, was found to have sustained a laceration to her finger consistent with a knife injury sustained during the altercation. Noble was charged and transported to the Hopkins County Jail.
While in custody, she continued to resist jail staff, resulting in assistance being required to place her into a secured cell.

She is currently being held in the Hopkins County Jail pending further legal proceedings.
