SULPHUR SPRINGS, TX (April 23, 2025) — A 31-year-old woman, identified as Katelyn Lenae Davis, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon following a criminal trespass call that led to the discovery of methamphetamine and marijuana in her possession.

According to the Sulphur Springs Police Department, officers responded to a reported criminal trespass incident in the 900 block of Freeman Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Davis, who was allegedly being trespassed from an apartment by management. Officers allowed her to collect her belongings before issuing the official criminal trespass warning.

During the interaction, officers noticed signs of nervousness and asked for consent to search her bag. Davis consented, and a subsequent search revealed a paper towel containing a crystal-like substance, which later tested positive for methamphetamine. Before the K-9 unit could arrive, Davis handed the item over to law enforcement.

Once the K-9 unit arrived, two glass pipes typically used to smoke meth and marijuana were located in her possession. Additionally, a homemade pipe was found near her belongings. Davis was taken into custody without incident.

The incident occurred within 1,000 feet of a local school, triggering enhanced drug possession charges under Texas law. She was booked at the Hopkins County Jail on the following charge:

  • Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1/1-B >1G DFZ IAT (F3)
