Hopkins County, TX — Two individuals are in custody after a routine traffic stop on Interstate 30 resulted in the discovery of illegal substances. On May 14, 2025, Trooper Greenway with the Texas Highway Patrol pulled over a 2012 Buick near mile marker 132, for not displaying a front license plate.
Upon approaching the vehicle, Trooper Greenway noted the smell of burnt marijuana. The driver, identified as Anthony Cannon, 45, of Dallas, was found to have a suspended license. The passenger, Tiffany Moore, 45, of Lancaster, also admitted to possessing marijuana. A vehicle search revealed marijuana and a scale used for weighing the substance. Both individuals were placed under arrest and transported to the Hopkins County Jail.
Cannon was booked in on Charges include possession of marijuana under 2oz and drug paraphernalia, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA & DRIVING WHILE LICENSE INVALID – DL
Moore was booked in on charges of POSS MARIJ < 2OZ & POSSESSION DRUG PARA
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
